Just look at those eyes, those cute little ears...those whiskers! Squirrels are adorable, it's simply indisputable. One of my favourite things about Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens is not only are they brilliant places to people watch, but also home to hundreds of very friendly squirrels. One Saturday I packed some cashew nuts and headed to the flower walk where they were scurrying around playfully jumping from branch to branch. We had a lovely time hanging out with them, coaxing them to jump and climb all over the place (including on us) and in the process I discovered just how photogenic they are! Complete sweethearts, i'll have to pay a visit again soon.

Adorable Squirrels

Ducklings
One of the best things about spring is the imminent arrival of duckings. Cute, fluffy, feathered and bemused, they provide endless enjoyment and warm the hearts of everyone everywhere. Never has the presence of ducklings failed to put a smile on my face, they're brilliant!
This year, every time I was lucky enough to see them I never had my camera with me, until bang, right in the middle of summer when I found some late bloomers! I was having lunch in the park when they wandered over, waddling in their characteristically amusing fashion. They were simply adorable, one minute huddling next to their mother and the next running off in search of adventure.
I think it's their mix of vulnerability and curiosity about the world that makes them so endearing..(that and their perpetual fluffiness)
Sunday
Shy visitor
We had a shy visitor at the house a few weeks back, the cutest little black and white cat just wandered onto our patio one afternoon. Needless to say we spent half the day giving her milk and trying to get her to come close. (too much time on my hands, #graduateproblems) She had such elegance and composure, not to mention beautiful fur...I wish she was mine!
